About You
As the Head of Business Development, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth, driving revenue growth of our current product and the commercialization of future products laying the groundwork for our expansion into pharma and biotech markets. This is a rare opportunity to blend strategic vision, hands-on sales leadership, and operational execution in a high-impact role.
Your initial focus will be on continuing the revenue growth with academic partners and then building and executing a go-to-market strategy, growing our presence in the pharmaceutical and biotech markets. Along the way, you’ll shape our sales team, refine our commercial approach, and contribute to the company culture as we scale.

Role Overview
Sales Leadership
- Lead by example: drive direct sales of our instruments and consumables while building and mentoring a high-performing sales team.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers across academia, pharma, and biotech sectors to secure high-value partnerships.
- Own the entire sales process—from prospecting to closing—ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
- Expand our footprint globally by building and leveraging networks in the US and international markets.
Commercial Strategy & Execution
- Collaborate with the founders to craft and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for 2025 and beyond.
- Drive business development with an initial focus on academic and research institutions, scaling into pharma and biotech markets.
- Design innovative revenue models that balance capital equipment sales with recurring consumable income streams.
- Identify and act on market opportunities to solidify our position as a market leader.
Leadership & Culture Building
- Be a cultural champion by fostering a collaborative, high-energy, and mission-driven environment.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with product development and customer needs.
- Help shape the company’s identity as we grow, setting the tone for a vibrant and values-driven workplace.
What You Bring
Proven Success in Business Development
- 7+ years of experience in sales and business development, with a focus on instruments or capital equipment sales in the life sciences space.
- A strong network in the US market, with a proven track record of success working with biotech, and pharmaceutical companies
Strategic and Commercial Acumen
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute a commercial strategy from the ground up in an early-stage or high-growth environment.
- Expertise in creating revenue models that integrate capital equipment sales with recurring consumable income streams.
Leadership and Entrepreneurial Spirit
