Exciting Instruments Launches £4M-Funded Headquarters in Sheffield to Accelerate Life Science Innovation
New labs and expanded team presence position the company to scale globally while deepening local roots in South Yorkshire’s Innovation Spine
Exciting Instruments, a pioneer in single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy, celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters and laboratories in Sheffield’s Innovation Spine on the 26th June – a milestone that underscores its rapid growth and deep commitment to advancing life science research globally.
The new site includes a modern office environment and two state-of-the-art custom-built laboratories, created to accelerate the development and deployment of Exciting Instruments’ unique single-molecule detection systems.
This expansion follows a successful £4 million seed funding round and a strategic grant from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority Investment Zone.
South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard officially opened the facility with a ribbon cutting and was joined by several notable guests such as Kate Josephs, Stan Boland, Laurence Tan, and Northern Gritstone.
